My 23rd Birthday~

Aww, I'm a year older.
And more blessed, loved ..and wiser, i hope.

I haven been blogging cos' I didn't felt like it.
My life hasn't been very colourful.

Alas, my 2months work at Woodlands is gonna end like soon!
I can start counting down.

June and I bid farewell to the long bus journey from Bedok to Woodlands.

NOTE: UniSIM exams are a killer, and I m so gonna flunk. 3 more papers to go next week! Jiayou Tan Li Jun!

I finally found the courage to end this relationship after nearly 2 years.

No ill feelings or hatred.
As only then I can move on alot easier.

I know the scariest times are : quiet moments to myself, where the memories, flashbacks and visions of you haunt me. And the tears just trickle no matter how hard I try.
Someone told me it'll never go away, but it'll fade.

I wish I had the power to just delete you totally from my brain system and reboot afresh, but sadly no.

I wish you are happy and treat the doggies well...

I'll always stick to this advice... " once bitten, twice shy, third you really can go and die."

It really makes sense to me now.
All the last chances are voided now.

I will tattoo all these advice into my heart.

I'm blogging at home now and Alvin is still sleeping soundly, after a short mahjong marathon w his usuals last night.

I m lucky I had them to accompany me thru CNY 1 and V-day countdown.

For work, at SP we have to work alt Saturdays.Thus, I've officially started my first Saturday shift- CNY eve halfday 8-1pm.
And after a pampering massage with uncle's *$5K worth OSIM massage chair, that explains why I was knocked-out after reunion dinner.

Hello.

I know it's been centuries almost since I've been here.Blogging.
This lil space of mine here is slowly becoming non-existent.

I am feeling abit cramped.
Just like the majority of my friends.

An overlook on their profiles just informed me that everyone is so BUSY with life. Just like me.
Struggling with UniSIM/work/life/events/doggies/driving lessons.

Time management is imperative ya?
I know I know.

Can't believe I'm getting my 3rd paycheque already.
I've come so far~
(FYI:For me to stay in a job is a challenge)

Anyway,
CNY is here to grant us some wealth and fun~

Ending with this very meaningful quote my colleague Sally shared with me:

Tired after walking Ruby for a journey of 1hr30mins.Great after-work-workout indeed, meeting 10 stray cats and 3 Schnauzers along the way. If you know, Huskies/Ruby gets very excited whenever she sees any cat/dog and you need to be very strong to control her from charging full throttle at them- in case a fight ensues. You need to pull her leash back real hard!

I'm very strong and agile now I presume!

And I realise- Singaporeans love schnauzers eh?
Maybe one of the Top 3 favourite breed.
HAHA.

Look at Nathan!

Poor baby boy, UK is so cold now. And he fell sick.
Everybody at home was eagerly waiting to see him Nathan the superstar plus Irene and Darren via MSN webcam!

His mum Irene lost a hefty amount of weight.
Taking care of a baby is sure physically demanding and tough~
But when you see your lovely child progressing thru each stage of growth, you feel such a marvelous sense of mirth.

Bits and Pieces of my Week

Today is Sunday, and tomorrow markes another hectic work-week, again.
Alas, I need to be motivated and stay motivated till Payday!

My friend's daughter, En-en, who's such an adorable gem.

1)Our Hari Raya Holiday Friday was spent at...

Whiskey Bar Clarke Quay (Which pretty much sucks -for the lackadaisical service, awry sound system and distasteful decor!)

There were 13-15 people present.
But we left early to send the drunk birthday boy home and go rounding instead, oooh.. and indulge in Mac Breakfast (Sausage Mcmuffin w Egg always taste heavenly!)

2) Visited Sitex Fair for both Fri/Sat.(Alvin's purchase of a gaming desktop)

After thorough consideration, he bought ... a Dell!

Also, what amazes me is this current cutey HPs from China. (Doraemon, Hello Kiity, Winnie the Pooh etc, u-name-it-they-have-it!)

They really resemble toys which are nolstagic for me. I like the polly pocket design.
(But sadly, it was sold out)

Her name is unique- Joyee, and she's already a ravishing beauty at 4 years old!
I marvel at how gorgeous she will be when mature, with her petite frame, super-long lashes and deep set eyes!

I was looking thru my album, and realised I've created so many chapters in my life journey.
I'm very thankful to all the people involved:

-My ever-supportive family.Especially my Mummy who prepares charcoal-boiled herbal soups for me regularly. ILY so much.

My 2nd day at SP Service Somerset so far.
The company offers incredibly good benefits.(I'm hooked on the allowances-cash)

Right now, I'll be on training for 1month before I'm out to serve real customers over the counter. I've made 3 new female friends-cum-colleagues who are undergoing training tgt with me: Sally, Xiu Hui and Siti. They are so funny and helps training breeze thru.

Alas,
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I won't 'quit' again.

I gave my blog a new facelift.
Removed the tagboard and what-nots.
Now, I'm quite loving it simple.

I've been living in my own world...for....very long.
Thus far,it's been close to 2months, 8weeks?

Funny I'm blogging here cos of a sudden insomnia attack.

In 24hours, I'm flying off! =)
Maybe I'm too excited.

I've been slacking, procrastinating, attending interviews.
And trying hard to choose my dream job.(Again? I'm sure people around me would ponder)

I'm not sure who Tan Li Jun is anymore.

I've sorta disappeared from the social world.
I don't feel like mingling.
I don't yearn to club anymore.
I don't have the drive to go work, make money so I can shop unabashedly.

I've gotten used to being cooped up at home.
I spend so much time with the three huskies.

BUT I do know that I need to be mature.

Zouk first then my 1st experience at Club NANA.

Verdict: Club NANA is wayyy more fun and happening den Zouk. At least that's what Ann and I firmly conclude!

2) Mid-Autumn Festival : IKEA Shopping.

My favourite is their lving room designs.
And the prettty bedsheets they have!
Splendid!

Not forgetting the Swedish Meatballs and new salmon dish.

A Beary Day @ East Coast.
We brought Beary Ruby and Latte to Starbucks.

Now that both puppies are 2 mths old, and growing day by day;
it's time to find good homes for them.
Meaning we need to sell them away, as it's seemingly impossible to take care of 3 Huskies.

In the mornings they squabble over their creamiest goat milk.
They then collaborate on clever schemes, like breaking out and sneaking into forbidden places. They play and nap side by side daily.

I can't bear to part with them.
But I hope they find good families with big homes and gracious families that give them all the love and devotion.

I've been neglecting my lil space here.
Don't really have spare time or energy to blog.

outings.clubbing.bufffet.steamboat.shopping.catching up.retail therapy sessions and absolutely ultimately, my GIRLFRIENDS (you all know i miss you? but can't find time to join in the activities........)

It doesn't help when BGS (Business Government Society) assignment is giving me headache again.

Yes, it's my 2nd time taking this course.
I oughta buck up!
(but it's reallllly tough, having to do tons of research and finding the BGS link)

Achievement?
I've worked in the childcare... 18 days already.

Puppies become a great source of my entertainment and drive.

Life is still sweet and colourful.
I have caring parents.
I have doting sisters.
I have a sweet boyfriend. (most of the times)

In 10 hours' time there will be many adorable lil kids calling me Teacher!

I know this is gonna sound weird,
I'm embarking in an industry which is not my area of expertise,
or, at least not within my diploma + degree progression.

(Sadly, I don't envisage working in the hotel/integrated resort/events/F&B/tour agencies anymore, except maybe catering line. And ...I'll never qualify to be a ~~cabin crew~~ , with my puny height. So embarrassing that I even dare to dream about flying. should erase this thought. )

Oh wells, the pay is not amazing, but I love kids.
when I went for the interview, I immediately felt so at ease... like I won't ever feel like I'm WORKING/SLOGGING for the sake of moolahs.
So the early childhood line is where I wanna be?

I took so long to find out.
However, I'm glad everyone supports me, and tell me life is full or twists and turns.

It's not too late for me to make a U-turn in my life journey and destination now!?
Albeit I took a longer, meandering, slower path.

Wish me luck people.

My life will be so colourful now.
Babies, puppies, toddlers, infants, pre-schoolers!
Also neverending support from my partner, parents,sisters and lovely friends.

DAY 2, July 17 2009

Puppies grow so amazingly fast!
Their weight is from sucking all their mother's milk!?

I can hear their squealing and wailing now.
They make noise every 1-2hours.
We only sleep intermittently throughout the night.

Alvin & i was supposed to take shifts to supervise them feeding, but nono,
both of us will be woken up when puppies/Ruby make noise.

Ruby is so cute, she dun even bear to go the the toilet or eat, unless she take peeks of her baby.
Or else we must bring her puppies with her or she wun settle down.

And she howls whenever her babies move a distance from her!
We must shift her babies back close to her.

I LOVE RUBY.
Dun worry, we'll give our best to take care of your babies Ruby.
Even if I've to sacrifice sleep for 1 month.
Till your puppies grow up healthy.
Look forward to see them open their blue eyes and tumble around. =))

Ruby's Twin Babies, born on July 16, 2009.

- Female, 9am, 420g
- Male, 10.24am, 290g.

DAY 1

We'll need to take good care of the three of them, as the babies are highly fragile.
Ruby is malnourished, with not enough milk to provide for her babies.

We take care to incorporate lots of high-quality protein; eggs and goat's milk into her diet.

Her babies eyes will only open 10-13 days later, now they always roll/wobble around!
Ruby is very protective of her babies, but we are worried cos she accidentally step on them sometimes.

48-hour supervision, utmost vigilance needed.
Tiring but meaningful.

My first time witnessing childbirth process, really proud of all mothers, and Ruby.

Some Updates.

Ruby should be giving birth in 2-3weeks time,
but she doesn't look very pregnant to us!

Symptoms observed: lethargic at times, & def gets hungry more easily.

We were told to give her an egg daily for extra protein for her babies.
Contemplating to bring Ruby for a scan, but.. it's costly man.

Oh, Ruby you can't drink sugarcane~ =)

OMG.

Ruby is pregnant.

Ever since that time she got into contact with Tyson (male Husky)at the SKC Dog Show, Expo.

That day they got into *contact* was May 17, and it takes 60-62 days for a female dog to get pregnant.

So now it's confirmed. Ruby is going to be a mother husky!
And Ruby will give birth in like 2 months time!!!

I'm abit apprehensive.
How am I going to help her deliver the puppies?

Last Day of Work at XXX.

I consider that I survived my 2months Temp office-job!
The pay is quite low, $6.50/hr.
They wanted to extend my contract, but I rejected it nicely.

This is a real eye-opener for me, a taste of how desk-bound job/life is like.

Verdict?
I don't really like it.
Die.
Retail also cannot, office job also cannot.

Maybe i'm not ...adaptable.
i know if i always can't sustain a job for long, I'll never get a fixed income/higher positions/ salary!

Now I don't dare to inform my parents...
and i've already tendered resignation!

I can imagine their disapproving looks, and my mum's nagging...

Really the hardest thing to learn.

- Dun neglect MUM, who cares so much about us, and our daily needs. She put in so much effort to take care of our daily lives and health. Till she suffer from muscle aches and countless discomforts now. It's bcos of Mum that I'm here healthy and strong.

- Dun neglect DAD, who slog so hard to maintain his own business and our family and finances. Every single lil thing. Take good care of Dad's health, remembering his critical diabetes condition and having undergone major cataract surgery- which makes his eyes vulnerable.

- Dun neglect BRO, remind him to report back to camp and make sure he's contactable and safe so Mum can set her mind at ease abt her youngest precious son.

I need to strive for and maintain a stable job/career.
I need to take good care of myself.
Pass all my papers- dun waste Dad's investment in my UNI education.

LOVE and R/S matters shouldn't take up my focus.
Maybe this is better for me to re-asses what i want in life.

Will I find the partner destined to be with me?

I may need those thick-mad-scientist-goggles instead of spectacles to see/maintain my vision.
Everything I see is blurry/faded now.
Will I go blind with this desk bound job?

RUBY's INJURED.

POOR RUBY got bitten by CHIVAS yesterday midnight.
I was going to the toilet and was so careless to let Ruby follow me out.

Not knowing Alvin unleashed CHIVAS to roam in the living room.

Now RUBY suffer.. two bite-wounds around her mouth.
And I was at a total loss and shock when she was bleeding profusely ytd.

Hopefully the medication and vet will alleviate her pain today.

Can't believe we've been together for 13months already.
(Yes, my longest r/s standing so far.And everybody's amazed by me)

It's really not easy,

Today we brought Ruby for her weekly Sunday swim,
& we are VERY glad to have Jolice and Clive joining us.

CHIVAS is officially adopted by us now.
Thanks To Jolice for taking pains to trim HIS *SCARILY-long and hard nails.

Chivas hasn't been out of the house of 1 year!
Thus he's very inactive, sluggish and abit overweight.
Sadly, he doesn't like Ruby much and keep growling and barking at poor Ruby.

At home, when Alvin was cleaning Chiva's ears for the 1s time,
he got bitten by her.

Think Chivas gets aggressive to protect himself for a new surrounding??

But we 'll try to overcome the problem ,and slowly hope RUBY and CHIVAS
can co-exist harmoniously.

CAR ACCIDENT

Happened ytd night at a road junction at Eunos.
HEAD-ON collision into the car in front.
Driver was an Ah-Beng somemore.

We are the ones at fault & we have to compensate.
Depending on the severity of the guy's damaged car,
(dunno y though I feel it's not a huge impact as Dad's car was like 3% scratched only)
repairs will be around an exorbitant $2-3K!!!
WTH.

Luckily, Dad didn't reproach us at all.
He still said everything's ok as long as we are safe.
Alvin also ask me not to worry abt the $, and keep asking me whether I'm ok
=)

YES.
I'm perfectly FINE my dears!
No bruises, blood, abrasions, chest pains, bumps, headaches, discomfort or anything.

I can only sum up ytd night as UNLUCKY.

A lesson learnt:
NEVER DRIVE WHEN SLEEPY/EXHAUSTED/GROGGY.

All my fault that I've craving for ice-cream
and Alvin wanted to make me happy, thou he was dead tired.

Oh my, he only told me after the accident:
Actually he's so groggy he can't even open his eyes properly.

April 18 was Jolice's Cosmoprof Portfolio BIG Day!
Kereen, Ann, Melissa and Me were models.

Wake up at 7am and the whole thing lasted till like 530pm!
It was tiring but fun for us.
We got new looks and a free fashion show from all the looks created by the other make-up artists~

Everything was smooth except for the photography part.
Long waiting process.
Kereen waited 1hour plus to take her 2nd look.

Me: Bridal Day + Dark Doll (more of Shanghai nigth Club Performer-inside joke. Cos of the feathers!)

THIS IS AN ENTIRELY 'I LOVE RUBY' POST.

Ruby is going on to 8 months now!
But she's still a very fussy and picky eater.. explains why's she's a lil skinny.
Alvin laments that Ruby will be at her absolutely perfect size if she's a lil bit bigger.

Her favourite food: Brown rice with minced meat specially cooked by Alvin's Mum + Beef jerky treats only.
She only nibbles on her staple dry dog food when she's famished. Otherwise no!

And only today i found out how easily she can get jealous:
I carried a chow chow for a minute and she was so angry she barked at the poor chow chow!

Lastly, we had no choice but to buy a muzzle for you RUBY...
cos a lot of our propety are damaged and bitten beyond repair.

Funny how things can change so fast,
in the blink of an eye,
that I could not catch up.

Now everything is not the same anymore isn't it?

I know.

Moving on has become a bittersweet procees.
The bitterness of your cruelty.
The sweetness of the memories and how you courted me.
were all those lies?

The only thing that'll never change is friendship-
my girlfriends' immense love on me.

I've been trying my best to be strong.
And i'm glad I've come so far.

Just that, the pain is still there.
I still miss you though I know that I' can't,
and i shouldn't.
